Then (black and white overlay): In 1922, a large new sign on top of Louisville Gas and Electric Company’s Waterside Station establishes Louisville as the "Gateway to the South."

Now (color background): In 2013, the city’s Waterfront has been transformed, in part, with the addition of the YUM! Center.

Frankfort, Ky. – The Kentucky State Parks will be ready for the winter holidays this year with special meals, decorations, candlelight tours, entertainment and other special events planned.

State parks are a great place for holiday gatherings in November and December. All 17 resort parks have restaurants, meeting areas and gift shops that offer unique gift ideas. That includes Kentucky Unbridled Spirit gift cards, which are valid at Kentucky State Parks, the Kentucky Horse Park, the Kentucky Historical Society and the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea.

Many state resort parks will also hold New Year’s Eve parties and dinners Dec. 31.

JEFFERSONVILLE, IN - Representative Steve Stemler and Representative Terry Goodin made a stop at New Hope Services’ Jeffersonville facility last week for a tour and visit with clients. The tour offered an opportunity for Representatives Stemler and Goodin to gain a better understanding of the depth of services which New Hope Services offers throughout Southern Indiana and an opportunity to see, firsthand, the impact that state funding is making on the lives of adults and children with developmental disabilities.
